We had Clor's deliver the food instead of having them prepare it at the site. This was cheaper and quite efficient. The food arrived as we were being dropped off at the shelter after rafting. We ordered 70 dinners and 2 salads (for the vegetarians)
Total cost was $696.00 for 70 dinners delivered to us.
We should have provided chips/snacks and dessert.
We bought several cases of bottled water for a great price at Save A Lot. Since students cannot bring any drinks to the trip, we wanted to provide everyone with at least 3-4 bottles of water.
Be sure to keep Tracy Nelson in the loop and get her the rafting waivers prior to departure. This will give her a chance to look the waivers over and get forms back to kids if they are missing any info. (This saves time on the day of the trip)
Have students make checks payable to Alden High School Class of __ .
Work with Don Hutchinson for the busses.
